CE: Edward Elric x Reader drabble: Outside

It was early August, and you were at Edward’s 18th birthday party. You, his best friend. Of course, you weren’t good with people, so you just hung out on the hammock  looking up at the stars, enjoying the pretty view. Soon, Ed found you.

“(Name)!” He called, jumping beside you.

You were startled. “Ed, jeez, you scared me!” you said laughing, scooting over for him so he could lay with you.

“You need to be less alone.” He said, smiling.

“Yeah, ha-ha, good lucky with that one.” You said, putting your hands behind your head. You noticed he had a margarita, so you stole it and took a drink. “Hey, this isn’t that bad.”

Edward stuck his tongue out. “Too sour for me, thank you very much.” He said, snatching it back from you. “You’re still too young to have one.”

You stuck your tongue out at him. “So are you!”

“Yeah, but I’m just better than you.” He replied, sticking his tongue out again.

You snickered. “Too bad I’m taller than you~!”

He immediately became frustrated. “Damn you, (name), I am not short!”

You laughed. “Oh Ed. I’m just messing with you.”

He snorted. “Of course. I’m going to get another drink, stay here.”

You shrugged. “Alright.” You said, trying to distribute the weight when he got off. Of course, that didn’t end well and you fell off. “Damn, that hurt!” you said, cringing at your back.

He ran back. “(Name)! Are you okay?!”

You rubbed your head. “Yeah, I’m fine, don’t worry.”

Ed extended his hand towards you. “Try not to fall off next time, okay?”

You took it. “Yeah, yeah, whatever.” You said, climbing back on.

He blushed for a minute and kissed you on the forehead. “Don’t be in pieces when I get back.”

You smiled. “I’ll be in one piece, don’t you worry.”
